Terms of Use

The short version

• You can use Pawdigree to identify your pet's breed. The top breed match is free; the full profile is a one-time purchase via Apple In-App Purchase. No subscriptions. Ever.
• We use AI (Anthropic's Claude) to read your photos. It gets things wrong sometimes — breed identification is an estimate, not a DNA test.
• Pawdigree is for fun and general guidance, not veterinary or medical advice.
• If you don't like the app, delete it. Refunds for purchases go through Apple.

The service

Pawdigree estimates a pet's breed (or breed mix) from a photo using third-party AI, and presents a profile with personality, health, and care information for the matched breeds. The app relies on third-party services (Apple, Anthropic, Supabase, RevenueCat) that have their own terms; if those services are unavailable, parts of Pawdigree won't work.

Not veterinary advice

Breed matches, health notes, and care guidance in Pawdigree are informational and generated from breed-typical patterns. They are not a substitute for a veterinarian, a genetic test, or professional care. Always consult a vet about your pet's health.

Your responsibility

• Treat breed results as estimates. AI image analysis is approximate, especially for mixed breeds.
• Only upload photos you have the right to use.
• Don't try to reverse-engineer the app, abuse the AI quota, or probe our servers.

Pricing and unlocks

• The top breed match is free.
• Unlocking the full profile is a one-time purchase (tiers from $9.99) through Apple In-App Purchase, tied to your Apple ID so you keep it across devices and reinstalls.
• No subscriptions. No auto-renewals.
• Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't process payments directly and can't issue refunds ourselves.
• Prices may change for new buyers. Existing owners keep their unlock at no additional cost.

Content + privacy

You own the photos and pet profiles you create. We process them only to provide the service. For details on what we collect and how, see the Privacy Policy.

As-is, no warranty

Pawdigree is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Brooke Builds Stuff LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the AI identifies breeds correctly or that the service is uninterrupted or error-free.

Limit of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Brooke Builds Stuff LLC's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of Pawdigree is capped at what you paid us for the app. We're not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll surface an in-app notice. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
